Spornette began when Walter Sporn, a German refugee who sold hair brushes and other items to stylists, met a mold maker with both the talent and machinery capable of making superior-quality nylon bristle brushes. With Walter's encouragement and expert advice, brushes known as the 5 and 7 row, "No Name" brushes were made. Walter also is largely responsible for brining cushion brushes and“rounders” to the U.S. Today, Spornette is still leading the way in the professional beauty market, with new ideas and products.
